Seattle Seahawks Secure Postseason Berth with Thrilling Extra Time Triumph over Los Angeles Rams.

Game-winning play in overtime

Receiver Eric Saubert executed the game-winning two-point play for the Seahawks.

The Seattle Seahawks engineered a stunning fightback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in extra time, clinching their spot in the postseason.

Rallying from a 30-14 deficit in the final period, the Seattle squad triumphed by a single point at home, registering their fifth consecutive win.

While the Rams had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on Sunday, the Seahawks secured their place to the play-offs after a 24-month hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's standings with a 12-3 mark, replacing the Rams, who dropped to the fifth playoff position with an 11-4 record.

Game Recap

Signal-caller Darnold had two interceptions but regrouped to make two scoring throws, culminating in the tying TD to star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a 13-7 lead at half-time before Walker burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for Seattle.

Rams cornerback Wallace then took back Darnold's first pick for 56 yards, leading to a short score by Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Rashid Shaheed provided Seattle's hope with a 58-yard return for a score.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the endzone, and a successful conversion forced the contest into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua scored for his second touchdown in OT, Smith-Njigba responded in kind to set up the game-winning conversion.
